Midweight Creative Team
BACKGROUND
You are a Creative Team with at least 3 year’s experience as the stars of your agency. The ones everyone asks to have on their briefs.
Your work is full of big, bold ideas, beautifully crafted. You think strategically and genuinely care about clients’ businesses and the challenges they face.
You’ve made print ads sing, films draw tears and even written tweets that cause a chortle. You’ve had plenty of experience concepting other stuff too - from experiential ideas to web apps to flying robots. But you’re not wedded to any of these channels, and believe that genuinely clever strategy and big ideas will always get you to the right answer. It may not even be advertising at all.
You are open-minded. Interested in everything and always exploring new frontiers. You are just as creative outside of work as you are 10-6. You might write poetry, run a creative club or knit presidential finger puppets, your creativity can’t help but burst out all over the place.
You’re entrepreneurial and excited by responsibility. You’re happy to work as part of a creative team and individually - and comfortable with sharing your ideas. You’re someone who can get down to the nitty-gritty hand-dirty bit too.
You’ve always wanted to work in a genuinely exciting small(ish) independent agency full of energy, talent and wonderful clients from around the world; and get them, us and yourself famous in the process.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for an up-and-coming creative team (copywriter/art director) looking to make their mark, to join an exciting new business and help drive the agency forward with excellent creative work across our spectrum of clients.
The role would suit an energetic team with a few years experience in the industry that want to get their hands dirty and work across all clients, briefs, pitches and agency projects – working closely with the existing Creative Director and Creative Partner.
DETAILED REQUIREMENTS
Campaign concepting
Big idea thinking, in traditional and new channels.
Conceptual thinking to deliver campaigns against planning briefs
Bringing ideas to life - scriptwriting / scamps / presentation designs to help sell in your ideas
Seeing an idea come to life – working through production process to realize original creative vision.
Other tasks
Creating campaigns for social across a range of brands
Writing short / long copy – Facebook posts, tweets, blog posts etc
Photographing & researching assets
Photoshopping images
Making sure your own work is fit to present to clients
SKILLS
Creative thinkers – in the digital world, keeping your ideas fresh is challenging - you need to be constantly thinking of new ideas to engage and keep conversations alive.
Exceptional writing skills – must be 100% accurate on spelling and grammar and have some ‘flair’ – whether a line, a script, a manifesto or a tweet it needs to be exciting
Good with people – good people skills to work with various teams in agency + client.
Design skills (photoshop / illustrator)
Presentation skills – needs to have confidence presenting ideas to senior team members and the occasional client
Scamping skills, illustration, motion graphics, coding or any other additional skills a welcome bonus
